Hanneke van Oss

Hanneke van Oss is Department Head Insurance at Bluewater Energy Services, a leading provider of offshore energy production and marine services. For more than 12 years Hanneke has been responsible for the company’s global insurance portfolio. risk transfer strategy, contractual insurance requirements and claims management across international operations.
With a background in law, Hanneke holds a Master’s degree from Leiden University and a postgraduate qualification from Radboud University Nijmegen. In 2019 she completed the Nordic Marine Insurance Education Program of Cefor. Her career spans legal, insurance and risk management roles, combining legal expertise with extensive experience in complex international insurance programmes and marine-related risks.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Hanneke serves as Chair of NARIM, the Dutch Association of Risk and Insurance Managers, where she actively promotes collaboration between risk managers, insurers, brokers and industry stakeholders. She is particularly engaged in discussions around emerging risks, the insurability of the energy transition and the future role of risk management in an increasingly complex global environment.
Hanneke is a frequent speaker at industry events and is passionate about strengthening international dialogue and knowledge sharing within the risk and marine insurance community.
