Danielle Datta

Danielle joined the Secretariat of the International Group of P&I Clubs in 2021 and supports the Group’s Committees on a range of technical and strategic matters, including the Group’s pool, captive and collective reinsurance arrangements (Reinsurance Committee); liaison with the salvage industry and maritime authorities worldwide on large casualties (Salvage and Large Claims Committee); the Group’s collective sustainability policies and reporting strategy, in her role as the Group’s Sustainability Officer (Sustainability Committee); collective policy and oversight of regulatory developments concerning Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (Autonomous Vessels Committee); reviews of large claims affecting the Group (Large Claims Committee); and legal proceedings where the Group may consider intervener applications (Amicus Briefs Committee). Danielle is a qualified solicitor (2015), holds a BA Cantab (2012) and prior to joining the Group worked at Reed Smith and for one of the Group Clubs.
