Jarek Klimczak

Jarek Klimczak is Chief Risk Consulting Officer, Specialty at AXA XL, bringing over 35 years of experience in the maritime and insurance industries. A former Master Mariner, he spent 16 years at sea, including five years in command of merchant vessels, before moving into ship operations, transport engineering, cargo supervision, and marine insurance. His international career has taken him across South America, Germany, Singapore, the United States, and the UK. At AXA XL, Jarek leads strategy and Risk Consulting across Specialty insurance lines, with a primary focus on Marine and expertise spanning Aerospace, Fine Art and Specie, Political Risk, Crisis Management, and more. He holds a Master Mariner unlimited license, an MSc in Nautical Science and Marine Transportation, and several professional certifications, including Certified Marine Surveyor and TAPA certifications.
