Maria Dragoumerli

Chartered Naval Architect and member of RINA with over 15 years of experience in the maritime industry. Before joining ABL, worked as technical superintendent responsible for all aspects of day-to-day technical management and dockings of a fleet of handysize bulk carriers.

Started her career with LOC based in the UK and held positions in Italy, China and Singapore, focusing on casualty response, marine claims and disputes. Acted as company representative during salvage/wreck removal operations for a number of projects in Europe and Asia. Provided advice on cases including groundings, collisions, sinkings, container loss, and mooring failures and worked on-site to support marine casualties providing technical support and cost control.

Has extensive experience in Hull & Machinery claims, having provided advice on numerous casualties, supervised repairs and assisted in shipyard negotiations. Attended many marine operations acting as Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for lifting, load out and transportation of heavy and high-value cargo.
